What can you do in logistics?
In logistics, you can go in any direction. Logistics is about planning, managing and delivering goods. That could be anything: think grocery delivery, online orders or a store’s inventory. It is important work: everyone, of course, wants their orders to arrive on time, but supermarkets and pharmacies also depend on logistics.
No experience? No problem
Don’t have any experience or degree (yet)? That’s not a problem. There are many jobs in logistics that do not require a degree or work experience. For example, consider a job as an order picker, delivery driver or warehouse worker.
If you would eventually like to advance, there are opportunities for that as well.
Physical work, or not at all
In logistics, you will be on the move while working. You no longer need to exercise before or after work: lifting packages or walking around on the warehouse floor will automatically keep you fit. You transport the really heavy things with the forklift, of course.
Do you like the logistics industry, but are you reluctant to do the physical work? Many planners and administrative staff are also needed. As a planner, for example, you will be concerned with the flow of goods: you will make sure that everything is in the right place at the right time for your colleagues and customers.
