Are you technically inclined and enjoy working with your hands? Or do you like to see the results of your work every day? Then construction, installation or engineering could be for you.
For example, there are many opportunities in construction for crane operators, roofers, carpenters and draftsmen. Building inspectors are also in high demand. You can go in many directions, and professionals are in high demand.
You can also work in installation, for example as a plumber, electrician or mechanic. Ideal if you like variety in your day and enjoy being on the road.
Getting started in the retail or hospitality industry
Would you prefer a social profession where you help and speak directly to customers? Then retail is a good idea. For example, you can work as a cashier or sales associate in a store. Opticians and audiologists are also in high demand.
Prefer to work in a hotel, café or restaurant? The hospitality industry is in high demand for such jobs as dishwashers, catering staff and restaurant cooks. Hotel receptionists and managers are also in high demand.
Opportunities in transportation and logistics
